Mortgage Broker Assistants

Job Description

Mortgage broking assistants work alongside mortgage brokers, helping to coordinate communication and other interactions among title and mortgage companies, real estate agents and escrow agents.

Responsibilities:

  • Closing files – providing compliance checks of files, ensuring all items are on file and follow up missing Data
  • Data entry into Mortgage Broking software
  • Getting client information accurate post loan implementation
  • Monitoring team in boxes and distributing email
  • Ensuring loan product providers are kept up to date with our contact information
  • Following up outstanding loan information from banks
  • Seeking updates on loan deals from banks
  • Loan Review Health Checks
  • Checking business sales numbers in Mortgage Broking Software to report at weekly/monthly meeting

What you need to bring to the table:

  • Graduate of Accountancy, Business Administration – Major in Mgt Acctg, Management, Finance, and other related courses 
  • Proficient use of MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint 
  • Previous experience with accounting, finance, or banking 
  • Previous experience with Mortgage Broking software (nice to have) 
  • Understand diverse banking sectors, asset finance, cash flow lending, debtor finance, and property is an advantage 
  • Understanding of credit and lending 
  • Understanding of the end to end lending process (application – credit – settlement)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to self-manage and show initiative to drive results 
  • Flexibility; ability to multi-task, adapt to changing priorities, and prioritize projects · Excellent interpersonal skills
